Second Grade Sacrament Prep
We are excited to help your Second grade child receive Jesus in the Eucharist. For most children, First Holy Communion happens in the 2nd grade and instruction is part of the overall religious education program. They will also receive their First Confession during this year. The First Communion Mass is normally held in May.
When you register your 2nd grader for Faith Formation classes, they are already enrolled in this preparation. If you have not signed them up for classes yet, click here. Classes run from September though the end of April.
Baptismal Certificates must be turned in prior to reception of these sacraments. Please scan/attach a copy to Bob Moore at [email protected] or bring it to the office. Contact Bob with any questions at 210-284-8079.

Older Children/Teens
If your child is in 3rd grade or above and has not received his/her First Confession or First Communion, please use the registration button below. This will help us figure out the best way to help you. There will be classes for parents and children to attend together. (see schedule here)
Depending on the age of the child, they can join our First Communion Mass in May or choose another Mass to receive the sacrament. We will work out those details with your family.
If your child has not received Baptism as well as these Sacraments, please click here instead of filling out the form on this page. Those children will receive Baptism, Communion and Confirmation (all the Sacraments of Initiation) at the Easter Vigil and will have an additional class to attend with the parents.
